The haunt build has a new scene: standing water.
Major rain rolled through and flooded part of the build. Not a little damp — actual flooding. Water where there wasn't supposed to be water, in a place where water was the last thing we needed.
/ The Mess
A haunt build in the woods already fights mud, tools, and extension cords. Add a flood and it becomes a whole other project: pump it out, dry what you can, figure out what the water ruined and what it only scared. Everything slows down. The calendar doesn't.
/ The Sigh
You sigh, you deal with it, and you keep building. October comes whether the ground is dry or not. This is the part of the job nobody puts in the brochure — and honestly, it's the part that separates the people who build haunts from the people who talk about them.

Until the next run out — work hard, play hard.
