Hi, I'm Rich Teachout.
I serve as Chief Technology Officer at Ashley Furniture Industries, based in Tampa, FL. Before that I spent years as CTO at El Toro, an adtech and advanced analytics company, where I was one of the original developers behind its patented IP-targeting technology. Roughly 30 years in the technology world: executive leader, entrepreneur, data guy, developer, architect, problem solver, and co-founder of Aboutbit.
That's the day job. The rest of the time I'm outside — overlanding remote routes, crawling rock gardens in the Jeep, and running a Sea-Doo Fishpro 32 miles offshore chasing grouper. This site is where both halves get documented.
